Design a poster that works as a calendar
Initial Sketch Concepts
The concept of the poster is based on the following intention: “How can I Inspire dialogues of grace with the world so we can cultivate integrity and authenticity with the world?”
The poster also acts as a calendar in a way that portrays a perspective on time. In this case, time is viewed in a spiral, as though the months repeat over and over again.
Visualization
The main composition was derived from the fourth sketch and in order to get the proper shot of satin and silk clothes, the fabric was pinned down onto a foam disk using pins and needles. The cloths were then wrapped around the foam, creating a spiral shaped pattern. For highlights, ceiling light was the main source and by shaping the fabric and folding them in different parts, it was possible for light to shift into the shape of the folds
Multiple shots were taken and later blended together in Photoshop. Using Various filters and blending modes, the textures and colors were combined to create a more softer, dreamier image. In addition, the highlights that were included in previous photos also added to the main texture to promote a more ethereal sense of healing.
